Kolkata, January 10:  The city again grappled with life-threatening diseases like dengue and malaria. Ten- years old Manaj Poddar was admitted to a city hospital where officials pronounced him a dengue fever victim. Three years old Piklu Das was taken to a nursing home after a doctor suspected dengue. The third person is a nurse in the medical college department. On Thursday 200 fresh cases were reported across the country. Badal Kumar Mandal, Mayor of Kolkata said “The situation is under control and there is no need for alarm or panic it is not an epidemic.” The state health department will extend all help to kcm to tackle dengue. Dengue returned to the city after two months.

Till July 30 people had been diagnosed with the disease, and one of them —- a resident of Green park- died. Hospital sources said that the kmc employee is out of danger. The condition of the other two patients is also improving.

Malda, April 10: Malignant Covid-19 broke out in an epidemic from all over the world. The worst affected countries were China, Italy, Japan, India and etc. More than 65.4 Lakh people had died of this disease throughout the world and countless people had victimized by this disease. Most of the dead persons were old people. Finally, W.H.O declared the disease a worldwide epidemic as the infection spreads worldwide. All the countries had taken measures to fight against the disease. The hospitals and health centers in the affected areas had been alerted. World Health Organization declared Researchers were constantly working to discover the antidote for this disease.

The public was using masks to cope with the disease. On Sunday 22th March, the Indian government announced “Janata Karfu” and told them to stay at home from 7 am to 9 pm. He appealed to the public to stand at the door, balcony, and window and blow conch, dish, bell, and clap. People were passing the days in fear and panic.

MALARIA CLAIMED 50 LIVES

Kolkata, November 10, 2022: Malignant malaria claimed 50 lives in the state between Jun and September in West Bengal. 10 more deaths were suspected to have been caused by the mosquito-borne disease and were being verified. The senior health department official said that most of the victims were from Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, and Purulia. Twenty-two persons died of malaria in Jalpaiguri, twelve in Cooch Behar, and eight in Purulia. So far, nine persons had lost their lives in Kolkata. Badal Kumar Mandal, Mayor of Kolkata said “The situation is under control and there is no need for alarm or panic it is not an epidemic.” The state health department will extend all help to kcm to tackle malaria.
