Kolkata, September 10, 2023: ISRO successfully launched Surya mission Aditya-L1 from Sriharikota Space Station in Andhra Pradesh at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday. According to scientists, it would take 127 days to reach the orbit. Aditya L1 would be placed in orbit at a distance of 15 lakh km from the Earth and observe the Sun closely. It would take pictures of multiple rays of the sun including solar movement, solar eclipse and solar storms and send them to ISRO. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and its scientists.

Kolkata, September 05, 2023: Surya mission Aditya-L1 was successfully launched by ISRO from Sriharikota Space Station in Andhra Pradesh at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday. After the moon, ISRO’s aim was to conquer the sun. It was India’s first solar mission. It will take 127 days to reach the orbit. Aditya L1 would be placed in orbit at a distance of 15 lakh km from the Earth. It would observe the Sun closely. It would take pictures of multiple rays of the sun including solar movement, solar eclipse and solar storms and send them to ISRO. Like Chandrayaan-3, Bengal children were also in this solar mission of ISRO. The whole Indian people watched the launch on smartphones and televisions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and its scientists on the successful launch of India’s first solar mission.

A Historic Surya Mission Aditya-L1

Kolkata, September 05, 2023: ISRO’s Surya mission Aditya-L1 was launched Saturday at 11.50 a.m. from Sriharikota space station in Andhra Pradesh. Aditya-L1 was the first solar mission of India. According to the scientists, it would reach its point L1 exactly 125 days after launch. That is, Aditya-L1 would go to Lagrange Point 1 at a distance of 15 lakh kilometres. After reaching this point, Aditya-L1 would start sending very important data. The mission would seek to unravel the mysteries of the Sun’s extraordinary corona, which blazes at 2 million degrees Celsius while its surface remains a relatively cool 5500 degrees Celsius. It would take pictures of multiple rays of the sun including solar movement, solar eclipse and solar storms and send them to ISRO. The whole Indian people watched the launch on smartphones and televisions and felt proud to be Indian.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and its scientists on the successful launch of India’s first solar mission. Union Minister of State for Science & Technology Jitendra Singh said, “Congratulations India, congratulations ISRO… and like the whole world watched this with bated breath, it is indeed a sunshine moment for India.”
