Story  সম্পর্কে প্রথমেই বলি যে Report, Notice, Letter ও Pragraph এর মতো একটা Format  দিয়ে অনেক Story লেখা সম্ভব নয় ,কারণ প্রতিটি গল্পের বিভিন্ন রকম বৈশিষ্ট্য থাকে,গল্পের মটিভ থাকে, পরিবেশ ও হয় আলাদা এবং গল্পের সমাপ্তি ও ব্যতিকরম নয়।যদি আমরা একটা Format-কে ব্যবহার করি তাহলে গল্প তার মূল পয়েন্ট বা বিষয় থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে অন্য মাত্রা প্রকাশ করবে।তাই সব দিক বিচার বিশ্লেষণ করে বেশ কিছু টিপস ও ট্রিকস দেওয়া হয়েছে যাতে গল্প লেখা পাঠকদের সহজতর

গল্প লেখার টিপস

1. Story must be written in past tense.

2.A title/heading will be written and all letters of the title or heading should be capitalized.

3.Use phrases and idioms such as once upon a time /one day/long long ago etc.

04.The starting of the story should be attractive so that the readers are interested to read the-whole story.

05.Dialogue or conversation can be used where required.

06.Introduce Characters.

07.Use the human pronouns such as I,WE,YOU,HE,SHE-etc. for animals in the fables.

08.The story should be meaningful.

09.Follow sequence.

10.The story will be in a single paragraph.

11.A message or moral should be given.

Some story writing has been given below as example

THE PRISONER AND THE BIRD-SELLER

In a war between France and England, many British soldiers were taken to France as war-prisoners .One of them, soldier named David suffered great agony in prison. When he thought of his free life before the joy of boundless life was totally lost now. When the war came to an end, he was set free. He realized the significance. He came back home with sheer delight. One day he saw a bird-seller going past his house. The bird-seller had a large number of birds in the cages. It at once reminded him of his sad and past experience (bitterness of bondage in prison life). He bought all the birds and set them free to share the joy of freedom. The birds spread their wings in the blue sky and began to chirp.

  Moral: wearer only knows where the shoe pinches.

A CARTER AND THE GOD OF STRENGTH

Once a carter was passing through a village on rainy day .His cart was heavily loaded. The road he was passing by was quite muddy and impossible to move. Unfortunately the wheels of the cart sank into muddy road .To draw out the wheels he went on whipping the bullock, but in vain. Giving up all hopes he began to curse his fate. Finally he began praying to god piteously for help. The god of strength suddenly appeared and asked him to put his shoulder to the wheels to put his cart out of mud. The carter did accordingly and as a result the cart moved.

Moral: God helps those who help themselves.

A FARMER AND HIS SON

Long long ago a farmer lived in a certain village. He was very intelligent by nature. But his sons were very idledd away precious time in gossiping and playing .They practically did nothing good. They made the farmer unhappy. One day he fell seriously ill and thought his death was near by. He thought of a plan and said, “Look my sons, my journey is over .Listen to what I say, I have buried all my treasure somewhere under the ground of our land. Plough the land to find it out.” After his death the sons ploughed the land thoroughly, but they found the treasure nowhere. But they understood what their father wanted to teach them. They prepared the land sowed seed and got a good harvest in time.

Moral: Sincere efforts are always rewarded.
