Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose was one of the greatest scientists of the world. He was born on 30th November in 1858 at Faridabad in the district Dhaka in Bangladesh. First he was admitted at a village pathsala. Later he came to Kalkata and was admitted to St.xaviers school. He completed graduation with honor from st. xaviers college . Then Jagadish Chandra went to England for further studies and took his B.Sc degree from Cambridge in 1917. He was appointed as a professor of the Presidency College. He found ‘Bose institute’ on November 1917. First he proved that plants have also life like human beings. They can feel pains like us. He was the intimate friend of Rabindranath Tagore. He wrote book like “Abyakta”. Bose invented many scientific instruments like photometer and crescograph. This great scientist died on 23rd November in 1937.
